Praise & Prayer News

Let's pray particularly for all the many people who are travelling during these next three months in between the academic years, especially for safe travels.  To mention just a few:  Sara G. and Hannah L. are travelling to China August 13 to Sept. 11.  Ina De Craene will be travelling to Togo in West Africa and spending two months there.  There are many going to other destinations and  need "travelling mercies" .

Another PhD in the family:

We thank the Lord for another PhD in the Christian family at large and in the Muchuri -Munyaka family in particular.  In June 2010 Ann Wambui Munyaka  successully defended her dissertation and became a doctor in BioScience Engineering.

Ann and Victoria, as well as ICEL friends were there to cheer him on.

Our pastor Kees and his wife Toos moved to a new home in Heverlee.  Icelers were invited to a housewarming reception on May 22.  We pray that they will continue to enjoy good health and strength and that their new house will not only be a blessing for them, but for all the people whose lives they touch.

Praise news from months past:

We are full of praise and thanksgiving for what the Lord is doing for his children.  On March 22, 2010, Atunga NYACHIEO, with grace and much success was able to defend his doctoral thesis, THE BABOON AS PRECLINICAL MODEL FOR ASSISTED REPRODUCTION.  He has now returned to his home country, Kenya to continue his research and work there.  Let us pray for him as he gets reacquainted with his young family and readjusts to his home culture.  Some photos of his defense are inserted below:
